Happy Birthday Mozart
Neither a lofty degree of intelligence nor imagination
nor both together go to the making of genius.
Love, love, love, that is the soul of genius.--Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
This is the birthday of Johann Chrysostom Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (27 January 1756 – 5 December 1791)
I realize that not everyone finds this day significant, but I just cannot help myself.
Happy Birthday, Mozart!!
Sweetened it into a phrase of such delight......
I pay no attention whatever to anybody's praise or blame.
I simply follow my own feelings. ---Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Thank you, Mozart, for the beauty that you left as gift long after you left....
Blessings, dear ones,
CG

I really enjoyed seeing Amadeus, the movie. Wonder how true to life that was?! His music is sublime; and it’s something to see what kind of life it came from. Not what you’d expect, somehow!
Happy Birthday Mozart!
The movie was a delight but the man himself was a wonder that will never cease, regardless of how much time passes. Thanks for reminding us of this special birthday! Hugs
Wonderful music! Congrats too from me.
Also from Austria:
George Frideric Handel
The Austrians celebrate 2009 as Handel Year.
My favorite piece of him:
Messiah, Hallelujah
I love Mozart - He lives on… and so does his music. Thanks!!!
Aaw I just love those quotations!
Thank you for joining in the celebration, Meenakshi and Nicole!
I have seen the movie, Amadeus, many times. Mostly its the music I love. These days I just put on a CD of his work, or bring up my Mozart station on Pandora
Congratulations, Handel…inspiration to Mozart and many of his contemporaries.
Austria has produced some great musical geniuses, Albert! I thank the Esterházy
family, for their patronage of Joseph Haydn, wonderful composer and dear friend to Mozart.
Yes, Kathy…I agree. Mozart lives!
Me, too, Anna! I am proud of him for those as well.
blessings dear ones,

Oh, thanks for the link –didn’t realize Pandora would have a Mozart station!
Yes, Meenakshi….you can give Pandora Mozart as the artist, and it will build a nice station—especially if you give the thumbs down to the music you don’t like, thumbs up to the type you want to hear more of. They do quite well.
