C.G. : Sacred Vow Is your mind a safe place to be?

Is your mind a safe place to be?

Posted on Jun 18th, 2008 by C.G. : Sacred Vow C.G.
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 18, 2008:

Mostly it's a civil place full of mystery and magic, dream figures passing through infinitely unfolding and eternally existing realities.
And when it is not? I get out of it via meditation, a walk up the mountain, etc
Accept myself? Do I have a choice? I am what I am...but never is what I think I am all that I am!
Yes, I do think my mind determines the world around me, both in the now and the unfolding, the past, and in the forever.
blessings, dear ones,

Can I come visit you in your mind?  It sounds like a lovely place… but that “Mostly” does worry me a bit.

What happens when its not?  I'll be sure to call first before visitng your mind.

To be serious, I have a similar attitude as yours.  It doesn't seem to me that we have a choice not to accept ourselves.  What would happen if it were possible?  Insanity?

We are limited to who we are but not to who we think we are.  This is so very true even though it is a bit of a non-answer.

I love considering how my mind (how our minds) determines the world around me.  I was just thinking about this yesterday.

I had a sneaking suspicion that if we could see reality from another's perspective that we probably wouldn't recognize it.  There is idea that eveyone could see a different color when looking at something.  Yet, because everyone consistently always sees there personal color, no one realizes or can realize that this perceptual difference even exists.  Now multiply that by every perceptual distinction we possess.

And this is just considering perceptual variances.  Add to this all of the paradigms and memes that filters our sense of reality and we live in little islands of individuality.  Nonetheless, our seemingly separate islands do connect beneath the waters with the other islands of individuality.

Thank you for your insights, Marmalade…
Sure, you can visit….I often try to capture it on the page–in fiction.
Sometimes storms occur just to stir things up, clear the air, bring in some rain. It make shake a few monkeys from the trees, but the end result is good.

What we get when we do not accept ourselves is what is called Karma, Judgement, Hell, or neurosis.

I agree about the reality perceptions. From my perspective each one of us is the Absolute's perspective from one eye. Just as our seeing through two eyes gives depth perception, the Absolute perceives through infinite 'eyes' over infinite times and dimensions…..what depth that must provide!!

Blessings, my friend,
