What makes someone enjoyable to be around?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 16, 2007:
If they enjoy themself and their life, I will probably enjoy having them in my life...
...but then that does not cover those who I "enjoy" because we are doing some work together, fulfilling some higher purpose that my conscious mind might not find "enjoyable." That would be a different kind of joy...
